I Remembered

This is a meaningful poem that shows how tight a friendship is.

I was in Kindergarten
I had a good friend.
She was kind, caring, funny, and wild.
We were together for 4 years.
It was until 4th grade, until we got the shock of our lives.
I was going to change schools.
No, this couldn't be. I thought.
She was my best friend.
We can not be separated.
The day before I had to leave,
My friend told me,
that we would always remember each other,
no matter what.
We made that promise, and then,
I had to leave.
My eyes, watered with hurt.

A few years later,
I was shopping with my family,
and had a new best friend with me.
she was also just as kind, caring, funny, and wild.
I stopped.
There was a girl with black silky hair and pure black eyes, looking at me.
Who was that? I wondered.
Suddenly, it hit me. It was my very best friend from that same school we went to together.
I thought we would be separated, forever.
From that day on, I got her contact,
hoping we wouldn't be separated again.
