Gift of Christmas
The gift of Christmas is wrapped in happiness
It looks like ecstatic smiles spread across friend’s and family’s faces
Radiant, vivid, colorful decor gleams with brilliance
Stunning presents sparkle with elated joy
The gift of Christmas is wrapped in jubilance
It sounds like cheerful, delighted laughter
Sheets of luminous snow falls from the sky
Silver snowflakes dance and smile at me as they fall
The gift of Christmas is wrapped in tranquility
The smell of sweet gingerbread glides across the room
The aroma of peppermint drifts through the air, filling my house with light
Delectable treats smell of a fresh, savory scent
The gift of Christmas is wrapped in warmth
The feel of warm hugs straps me in a bundle of joy
My comfy cozy clothes keep me warm
My dazzling Christmas tree gleams with lights as bright as the sun
Wrapped in happiness, jubilance, tranquility, and warmth
The gift of Christmas
The simplicity of the poems and the deep care and love for relationships
Delicate petals and soft flowers
Are cozy seats for bugs
Bees eat the delicious nectar
off the flowers.
Love these lines. These lines so aptly describes the nature during spring time❤️❤️
Takes the reader there to wonderful setting of a beautiful spring day with the shining sun, flowers, soft and delicate petals, the bees, the smell of spring!
Nora touched all my senses with the sun, the flowers with the delightful smells, the cozy soft petals, the thunder! Very well written and takes the reader to the beautiful setting created by the poem.
Wonders of Nature
I can imagine the scene with the animals playing by the creek.
Amazing how she talks about saying goodbye to childhood being a child herself! Time does go by fast.
It is so true and from the heart. Friendship is like a seed!
I love this poem because by the end, I realize that she’s making a subtle but powerful connection between the animals she writes about and childhood. I first visualize animals playing but by the end I visualize children instead. It brings nostalgia to the reader and is very powerful!
What a powerful and perfect simile to compare friendship to a seed! Both are powerful and life affirming, and I love how the author uses the word “deep” both literally for a seed, and metaphorically for friendship. Very honest and powerful!
A beautiful poem, because it transports the reader to that essence of spring, that we all know and love. I can see and smell all the sites. My favorite part is how she compares the petals of flowers to being cozy seats for bugs. Wonderful imagery and use of metaphors.
Beautiful imagery! A great poem because it transports the reader to that special essence of spring which everyone loves!
Beautiful imagery! I can see the sun and bees, and smell the flowers and spring smell. The best poem because it transports you emotionally. Wonderful!
